I LOVE DOING SCRAPBOOK.
for some reason, i find it to be the bestest thing to do during my loneliness hours, or at times when i need to gateaway from all troubles and things around me. weird eh, but hey its soo much fun (for me at least) =P
...anyway i still recall back to those days where i would save up all of my money just to buy colour papers, stickers, glitters etc just to do my scrapbook.. worst come to worst..i would tore off those fancy pages from the magazines and paste it inside my scrapbook. now, its waayyyyyy too easy.. all you need is a pc/laptop..adobe photoshop element and wala! you can start doing it instantly..and you can FREELY download those kits form lotsa losta freee scrapbook kit sites!! i tell you ..when i first found out about this i was heavenly downloading all those beautiful stuffs and i couldnt care less bout nothing ( it feels like i was in cloud 9!) but it takes decades for it to download because i dont have the proper software to download.
recently, my boifren introduced to me few softwares that he thinks is convenient to me and my laptop. FYI, he's been my personal PC Inspector for the last three years. He's been the one who took care most of everything, right from killing the viruses up to the downloading of recent games..i must admit, ever since he went abroad, my laptop had gone through the reformatting surgery triple times more than during the times he's around. and the fact that i love to delete folders n files, emptying the recycle bin and eventually realize that it is important is also causing chaose most of the time in my life. the victim? surely those lovely roommates of mine (btw, thanks for putting up wit my drama queen behaviour!) . whenever there's a problem, i would directly msg/ring him like nuts! (ok, my laptop is my baby..so when baby got sick, the mother would go panic!) .
and this has been a problem for the both of us.
Firstly is the time difference, he's in Germany while me, in Malaysia. So, its 6 hours different. by the time he got back from class it'll be midnight here and i got class tomorrow. so the only prefect time that we both have is during weekend. imagine if the prob occur on monday..i have to wait til the weekend to get it fix.ohhh i am so DEAD by then!! second, the parts of the laptop that he would look at are the ones that i will never look at, and for him to explain and me to find those things..8 thn pon tak abis repair. plus, he must look at the problem by himself so he knows what to do. and the fact i only know how to use the laptop and not repairing is a big problem. i would usually go straight to the pc shop and reformat it but kucai thinks its a waste of money and time.
couple of incidents happen, so he had to came up with few solutions to make his life and mine easier *wink* =D
1. Teamviewer 3 - P2P software.
by using this software u can actually see what's on your friend's pc..not only you can see it, you also can move their mouse and explore their pc! with a condition ur friend's not moving the mouse, both have the software and are log in. more like a stalker software, but the other person knows that ur looking at them but it sure is fun (recommended to hubby-wifey, couples, besties, parent-children..etc) . i didnt know what this software is capable of til kucai made me downloaded it. he said, now it is easier for him to monitor my laptop if theres any problem in the future ( easier for me to sneak around his pc! lol).
2. EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard Professional 4.0.1
this software is for recovering the lost or deleted datas (pics,files,folders etc). It's a lot faster than the ones that i have right now and much easier to use. regardless how good this software is, in certain cases it can only retrieve back 95% of the things that you want. another 5%? kapooh! gone nowhere to be found. =(
So to make my already long story short, the other day, i accidentally deleted my scrapbook folder.everything from wallpapers, kits, fonts are gone instantly. the funny thing is, it did leave any trace inside the recycle bin. i couldn't sleep for one whole night thinking what am i suppose do. i used my old file recovery software but no luck =( . This morning, around 8 a. m ( 2 a.m in germany) i managed to get kucai on the phone (thank you God, he was staying up..studying for his final) ..so he helped me to get back all that one precious folder..he did all the work, yes using the teamviewer he controled my laptop, and install the recovery software and retrieved back the file although it was only 95%. it took him almost an hour and i felt bad because its already getting late over and he has class the next morning. i told that its okay but he insisted in trying to get it back.
i never knew he would care so much about my little interest. he never once fail to came for my aid, eventhough he's million miles away from me. no matter how busy he is, he's always been there to rescue me. everyone wants a hero for themselves. i found one. he's my pc geek, my game partner, my best friend..he's my SUPER KUCH!-love, nani =)
