mommacard goes to print!

i never knew getting a card done would take so much effort of resizing. okay, it may be my mistake to not have used any 'card name' templates but i didn't know that it would matter! so i just taram some card size which i tot was an appropriate size for a name card and started to doodle, type, cut & paste. i was soo excited to get it printed! but before any printing cud take place i had to show my dad the card i designed. and this was suppose to be the nerve wrecking part BUT not in this case! he totally approved my idea and i was off to the printing shop with my mom by 10am. we got there, took the escalator, tadaaa!! it is not opened yet! naseb baik its in GIANT hypermarket, so we got to browse around.

and i found these incredibly cheap wedges that i cud fit into!!! it was black vinyl and the wedge was like 'guni' material. and there was a black bow in front! which i like! da try, da jln, it fit perfectly but ofcourse not as comfy as my lubang2 flats but its a start to womenhood so i chose to purchase a pair. got to the counter! i was thinking of the sizes and day dreaming of future shopping trips to the shoe store, so i decided to check the sizes again to make sure i know my own size! that's when i realize i had 2 different sizes!! so i got out of line and went back to the shoe rack and looked for any helpful giant worker. but sadly, there weren't any! so it was not meant to be! =( sad but its cool.

okay by then, it was oreddi 11++ so we went back to the printing shop. i showed her my card design and she told me that the size was too small and if she were to stretch it, it wud not be pretty. so she told me to make it to 300pixels. jadi, blank-headedly i pun went back and started re-doing it and realized i had no clue to what "300 pixels" means! i asked emi so he started explaining about how the size and pixels and aspect ratios and i became cookoo for awhile becoz it was almost like hearing him talk to me in russian! but after a few minutes i got what he was trying to tell me and i re-did my design.okay this time i got the 'aspect ratio' maintained ;) and it was bigger than previous! but i wasn't too confident on whether i got it ryte this time.

STRIKE TWO! 2nd trip to the printing shop, same lady, SAME PROBLEM! my copy was way too small ONLY this time she explained that i needed to do my design with a resolution of "300pixels" and she gave me an exact 'inch x inch' size of their cards. phewww!! why i didn't get this info earlier? let's not get into that. she was thankfully helpful enuff to consult me with her opinions rather than just blindly printing em' for me which i tink her 'other' friend might just do. ;P so back to scratch!

STRIKE THREE! this time shud be a charm! 3rd time to the printing shop, same ladies, had to wait a little, almost 30minutes! but its cool, okay..chose some material for the paper,and had to change the set from 'black n white' to 'color print' due to the 'not so nice effect' of the black n white set wud have on my cupcake logo! sheeeshh must be a trick but i bot it! so okay RM46 for 200cards! its to be collected earliest tonight! but i'm not so sure whether we'll be picking it up tonit or not..maybe tak kot, khaaliq's at a karaoke function, dad took the car...jadi i'm not so sure!
