vamp me baby

before i start babbling upon stuff that are just out right ridiculous, i'd like to put the blame solely on my cousin Iklil for bringing this pain upon me! haha!!

i just finished my weekend with a book that pumped my heart into a swollen thing that beats. seriously! if you long for any type of extra-curricular attention from the male species, in a i-will-always-be-your-shoulder-to-cry-on-kinda-way, this book will doom you to the edge of loneliness! most definitely NOT for the faint at heart.

alright, for you haters out there! YES this book can be found in the "horror" section of the teenagers novels collection in your nearest bookstore BUT don't let its genre fool you. still thinking i'm some lame lonely gal?? fine! watever! sheeessssh. i actually first spotted this novel in my very own rumah sewa early this year, my housemate told me that the story was about a romantic tale that involves 'vampires' and being very judgemental and under-estimating fool that i was, i just shrugged the offer to read up the book just because i've past the teenage-like-theme novels which totally are not for me anymore. which in this case, i was superbly wrong! wanna know how serious i am? i just spent RM69.20 on the two sequels to "Twilight" ('new moon' & 'eclipse')!! damn right! i am hooked!

okay, honestly it may just have been me and my desperation! you guys may have a different opinion completely about the book but this is not your blog entry, it's mine so i'm babbling about my new addiction now. from the cover of the book, to the way the story is written, you might just agree with me that this book surely is not just some other teen vampire themed novel. believe me. the words used to describe every detail of the story did not bring you to the ordinary teen fictions. somehow.

what i like about the story?

i like the HERO. the male star of the story. the man of my dreams at this point of my life, Edward Cullens. yes people, i am very very sick in the head for falling for a character in a teen novel! well when the world offers no hope, i turn to fiction. =) well, edward is the vampire. he has been 17 for a couple of decades now. and this is his first time meeting his true love. a love that he never knew could exsist. BUT this girl does not only make him long for her attention but she makes him thirst her blood as hers is his favourite kind. just like a fat kid loves cake. who can say 'no' to cadbury? but the Cullens aren't the type that kills people becoz the wanna be civillized.

characteristics i dig about edward:

1. he can read people's mind BUT he can't read hers. so, he's constantly asking her what she is thinking because the mystery behind her thoughts about him is driving him a little cuck-koo. i like that little insecurity that he gets when he's around her just becoz he is not 100% sure that she's 100% sure that she ain't going no where. capishe?

2. overprotectiveness. i love love love that he gets all moody about putting her in danger. he gets very fierce and angry in his tone of voice but he was always gentle with handling her. she goes "..ouch." then, his eyes flashes directly at her in a heart beat.

3. always there. yes, yes, you might say u want "your own space" humphh! get back to me when u've hooked up with an edward cullen of the real world and tell me whether that 'space' is necessary. he is always by her side. day and night. vampires don't sleep, so he watches her sleep all night long. not in a kotor way okayy! sheesh.

4. he has to control his thirst for her. yes this is my MOST FAVOURITE part of edward cullens. he does eveything in his willpower to hold himself back from sucking the life out of the girl. he's like longing to have a bite of the cupcake but knows to keep his distance and doesn't want the cupcake to be left with only crumbs, so he only nibbles with the icing or just smell the aroma of it, to take the edge of! i'm not sure why but i'd like to be adored that way too!! ;P

5. there's simply nothing to not like about edward cullens. seriously.
